Bukan Solusi! Pembangunan Insinerator di Tebet Malah Jadi Polusi?

Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta mulai menjalankan rencana pembangunan Fasilitas Pengelolaan Sampah Antara (FPSA) berskala mikro di Kecamatan Tebet, Jakarta Selatan. FPSA di Tebet ini kabarnya akan menggunakan teknologi insinerator (membakar sampah) dengan kapasitas mengolah sampah mencapai 150 ton per hari. Pihak Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Provinsi DKI Jakarta mengabarkan bahwa Amdal FPSA di Tebet sedang dalam proses.
Namun, Rencana Pengelolaan Sampah Antara di Tebet menuai banyak penolakan. Wahana Lingkungan Hidup (Walhi) Jakarta menolak pembangunan FPSA ini karena berpotensi menambah beban polusi udara Jakarta.
Direktur Eksekutif Walhi Jakarta Tubagus mengatakan bahwa proyek pengelolaan sampah dengan insinerator tersebut tidak ada dalam kebijakan strategi daerah dalam pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga dan sejenis rumah tangga. Kedua, proyek yang berpotensi menambah beban pencemaran udara berada di area publik dan berdekatan langsung dengan permukiman.
“Bisa dibayangkan area yang biasa dijadikan area publik seperti rekreasi, berolahraga, dan lain sebagainya akan terpapar dampak buruk insinerator. Dengan demikian FPSA dengan teknologi insinerator ini juga bertentangan dengan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 04 tahun 2019, karena tidak memperhatikan aspek sosial dan tidak tepat guna dalam pengelolaan sampah,’’ kata Tubagus mengutip laman Kompas.com, Senin (8/8)
Ia menambahkan bahwa dampak buruk pengelolaan sampah dengan cara insinerator berpotensi membahayakan ruang interaksi masyarakat. Memperbesar resiko buangan asap, abu sisa pembakaran sampah, hingga gangguan lain seperti kebisingan.
Mahasiswi UIN Jakarta Ayudha Lailiyah yang juga seorang warga Tebet mengatakan kurang setuju atas perencanaan pengelolaan sampah teknologi insinerator.
“Pemerintah berarti cukup merespon tentang banyaknya tumpukan sampah. Namun, rencana baru untuk pengelolaan sampah ini kurang baik jika menggunakan teknologi insinerator. Karena berdampak buruk bagi masyarakat khususnya penduduk yang tinggal di daerah Tebet ,” ujarnya kepada DNK TV pada Jumat, (13/8).
